It can be intimidating to plan a wedding from afar.  We knew we wanted our wedding in Mexico, but since we don’t live there, we realized that some aspect of our ceremony might not be quite what we wanted. Comments for vendors involved on my wedding:

Photos/video: We had a photographer only. Our pictures were lovely. However, we didn’t think to ask our guests for NO pictures during the ceremony, so many of our professional prints had our family in the way. We wish we would have known or thought to ask our family to stay seated.

Minister/Judge: Our ceremony was officiated by a Shaman named Juan. This is a kind man with a genuine heart. We were very happy with his service. Our ceremony performed by him was beautiful and unforgettable.

Decor: We had very basic decorations that we provided. Everything was put together very nicely by Natalia.

Flowers: Our flowers were positively stunning. They were all very fresh and of very good quality. We were very pleased.

Venue:  Our ceremony and dinner reception were held at Las Villas Akumal. We were extremely happy with this venue. It was off the beaten path from larger resorts. It was very clean and the staff were hospitable and accomodating.

Food & service: The dinner that was prepared at Las Villas Akumal was amazing! We had positive feedback from all of our guests on how great the food tasted. We were very pleased with the quality and overall presentation of the buffet style meal.
